Rooms are $89.95 a night, the most reasonable room for the money on the Kenai Peninsula!
Picture log buildings tucked among the spruce and birch trees. Each country-style room features privacy, comfort, and hospitality. Summit Lake Lodge has a beautiful deck outside the cozy rooms, perfect to relax and enjoy a cold drink and a good read.
	At Summit Lake Lodge, guests are welcome to stay in one of six intimate, peaceful rooms. All our rooms have either one queen bed or two single beds and private bathroom. We also offer gourmet meals in the main lodge restaurant with fine fireside dining nightly. Don't feel like eating in? Order out and enjoy a meal on the deck.
We had an absolutely fantastic time! We took a boat trip to the Fjords National Park (saw hump back whales, puffins, seals, a glacier up close...), and fished a lot. Caught lots of salmon in the rivers and creeks and halibut in the ocean out of Homer. We would all go back in a heartbeat! The beauty was spectacular. We had a great time as a family. The scenery around Summit Lake Lodge is absolutely breath-taking - you could sit and watch it all day, if there wasn't so much else to do. Our hosts, Marty and June were so welcoming and helpful. They helped us arrange a float plane ride over glaciers, where we saw dall sheep, moose and various birds; and also a day cruise nearby. We went hiking in the surrounding mountains and canoeing on Summit Lake, and always enjoyed a warm welcome home in the restaurant and bar each night. We enjoyed our summer trip so much we went back in winter a few years later, and are planning on returning to Summit Lake Lodge again in 05. I recommend it to everyone!
